SANTA CRUZ, Costa Rica — Casa Del Sol is an environment-conscious program that teaches individuals about the benefits of sustainable cooking and agriculture. Muddy Boots News’ Jalyn Henderson captured the field reporters’ trip to Casa Del Sol’s  location in Santa Cruz, Costa Rica, in English and Spanish.

Reblogged this on Holly Enowski and commented:
One of my favorite places to visit was La Casa del Sol (House of the Sun), a cooperative focused on environmental sustainability and using the energy of the Sun to power our lives. Our entire meal was heated under the Sun using solar cookers and we learned about solar plots, solar heating, water purification and other uses of the Sun. You’ll see in Jalyn’s photo gallery a sign about Monsanto and I am working on a larger story about Costa Rican perceptions of Monsanto and GMOs and welcome any discussion!
