PHOTOS: A walk through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

MONTEVERDE, Costa Rica — The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, established in 1972 and covering over 35,089 acres, is a sizable portion of the more than 100,000 acres managed by the Tropical Science Center in Costa Rica.

Visitors to the reserve have the possibility of seeing any variety of the thousands of species of plants, animals and insects that live within.
