With the posts above, we begin our coverage of the January 2013 Costa Rica program.
First, you’ll find the reflections of a group of energetic, innovative and talented student journalists as they assess their preparation for this journey in international reporting and think out loud about their expectations. This is our final night in the classroom prior to our trip. The atmosphere in here is electric.
Next, please follow us, especially after we depart on Jan. 2, and you’ll be part — day by day — of our field-reporting adventure. You’ll also be able to observe the growth of these budding professionals as they perform their calling way outside their comfort zone and measure their expectations against the realities of nature and society in a wonderful tropical nation.
Watching that growth — that’s the part I like.
